The new 2005 Buick will come out before the end of the year 2004 as Buick LaCrosse. It is a midsize sedan featuring 3.8-liter 3800 Series III V6 engine and 3.6-liter V6 engine. It is the replacement of the Regal and Century that is available in three trims, the CX, the mid-level CXL and the performance-oriented CXS.

 

Lacrosse is designed to compete in the industry's midsize cars, such as the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata, Mercury Sable, and Toyota Avalon. It features smooth power and responsive handling, quite and comfortable ride, stylish exterior design, and interior with subtle touch. The exterior has a Volkswagen Passat sedan look, with a larger and modern elliptical vertical bar grille of Buick as of Reviera's. The interior boasts the traditional 5- or 6-passenger seating and touches of chrome, wood accents and leather upholstery of French seams.

All Buick LaCrosse have standard features that include remote keyless entry, power driver's seat, power door locks, power windows, and six-speaker stereo radio with CD player. The options on the other hand are the power sliding sunroof, heated seats, steering-wheel-mounted audio and climate controls with stereo upgrades such as the in-dash six-disc CD changer, MP3 player and XM satellite radio.
