Buick Century Recall
Buick Century is no perfect vehicle. Like the rarely known or popular cars, Buick
also had encountered several recalls due to some problems that needed to be given
the necessary solutions. The General Motors Corporation on the other hand is doing
its job as far as these recalls are concerned. The 1997 Buick Century had a recall
due to windshield wipers that might stop working because of separation between
drive pin and crescent from crank-arm assembly.
With the next year model the reason for recall is the possibility of improper
calibration of vertical headlamp-adjusting device. In 1999 is about the ABS motor
shorts to its case and grounds through brake fluid pipe that can cause heating
of brake pipe, leading to melt the plastic fuel hose near it due to gasoline leak,
then worse is fire. With the 2000 Buick, the bolt heads on the rear spindle rod
might separate, the affected wheel could shift leading to loss of control.

Also is the possible fuel leak as a result of loose clamp that secures the flexible
fuel-fill hose to metal tube that might separate. In the following year so as
of 2000 there are some seatbelt assemblies that weren't properly heat treated
and did not pass the load bearing requirement. The driver-side airbag inflator
separate from the airbag module when deploying, causing an improper deployment,
another thing is that it is not of standard size. These are some of the reasons
for recalling several Buick Century models in different countries.
